We’ve Upgraded our NBN Incident Notification System

We’ve recently made some much-needed improvements to our NBN incident alerting system, and we’re confident this will make a big difference in how our partners stay informed about service issues.

Until now, the system would often send out “outage” notifications for minor or isolated events – like a single-site power loss or a disconnected network cable. These alerts didn’t always include enough context, and in many cases, they caused more confusion than clarity.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve redesigned the process.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Smarter categorisation: You’ll now receive alerts that more accurately reflect the type and severity of the issue.
    More useful details: Notifications will include relevant service-specific info, giving you better visibility into what’s going on.
  • Start and resolution alerts: You’ll be automatically notified not just when an incident occurs, but also when it’s resolved.

We hope these changes create a smoother experience and reduce unnecessary noise.
