Their quick service and fantastic approach to customer relationships has allowed us to implement Cloud Connect quickly and effortlessly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Just a few of the more commonly asked questions

Does Hosted Network have access to the data?

You have the ability to encrypt your backups at the source, before the data leaves your network. Hosted Network does not have access to the data.

Does Cloud Connect support multiple retention policies?

Yes, Veeam Cloud Connect supports customer defined retention policies. The only limit would be your storage allowance.

If there is an existing Veeam job, can Cloud Connect be added as a secondary location?

Think of Cloud Connect as just another backup repository on your network, allowing you to do anything you can normally do with a local backup.

Where is my backup data stored? Will my data ever leave the country?

Hosted Network utilises world class data centres located in Australia. We will never send your data anywhere else.

Can multiple sites backup to the same Veeam Cloud Connect account?

Yes they can; however you will need to account for space and concurrent jobs as this may affect your overall performance to Cloud Connect.

I have terabytes of data, how can I use Cloud Connect to back this up?

Hosted Network recommends pre-seeding data in this scenario. To do this, simply backup to a local storage target, send that target to us when you are ready and we will load that data into storage for you. Map your backups in Veeam and you will start to backup the difference!

What version of Veeam do I need to take advantage of Veeam Cloud Connect?

V8 and above will work with Veeam Cloud Connect. To take full advantage of Veeam Cloud Connect Replication (DRaaS) you will need to be running V9 or above.

How do I restore my data?

The restore process is managed through your local Veeam management console, the same way your other backups are.
