Hosted Network and nbn® team up to help MSPs capitalise on business nbn®

Sydney, Aust. – April 28, 2023 – Hosted Network has announced its partnership with nbn® Australia as a Retail Service Provider (RSP), to enable Australian Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to tap into the growing opportunity in the country’s connectivity market and drive higher revenue with business nbn® connectivity.

As a former MSP and having worked with multiple vendors and carriers, Hosted Network understands MSP challenges of having a lack of visibility and control over their network which not only impacts and prolongs resolution times, but more importantly affects relationships with customers. They evolved into an Internet Service Provider (ISP)  to regain control, improve rectification times and their partners’ experience. Now an entirely channel-focused cloud and telco provider, Hosted Network takes ownership and responsibility of their own network, providing them with greater visibility and control. This allows them to deliver quick resolution times and an improved customer experience, benefiting both Hosted Network and their partners.

Hosted Network’s partnership with nbn® has strengthened their position of delivering cloud and telco services the way MSPs need it, easy and reliable. As a Retail Service Provider, Hosted Network has incorporated  nbn® API capabilities within their Partner Portal to help their partners quickly and easily identify and resolve issues, without having to spend countless hours waiting on hold or being unable to take action. This not only saves time and money, but also enhances the overall experience for both the end-customer and the partner.

Unlike the huge telco players where MSPs are just a number, everything Hosted Network builds and integrates is specifically designed for their partner MSPs.  One API capability of the Partner Portal is ‘Fibre Connect’, a feature which provides partners with information on which locations can be upgraded to nbn® Fibre, offering improved speeds and a better experience for end-customers. The Partner Portal also features advanced health and diagnostic tools, helping MSPs to monitor and troubleshoot nbn®  connections and proactively address any issues that may arise. Additionally, partners benefit from an improved communications and visibility experience for their nbn®  connections, with the ‘Outage Notifications’ API keeping them informed about scheduled maintenance or service outages on a per-service basis. This allows MSPs to stay on top of any disruptions that may affect their customers and proactively manage communications to ensure a seamless experience.

“Our partners always come first. We prioritise their feedback, ensuring that we incorporate it into everything we do. This is evident in our Partner Portal, where we have specifically integrated API capabilities to cater to the unique needs of our MSP partners. As we continue to innovate, we are always looking for new ways to support our partners. By incorporating nbn® ‘s API tools, we are enabling our partners to provide the best connectivity experience to their end-customers.”, said  Ben Town, CEO at Hosted Network.

Last month, Hosted Network and nbn® organised a series of in-person Lunch and Learns that were attended by MSPs based in Sydney and Melbourne.  The sessions were designed to educate MSPs on the benefits of working directly with an nbn® Retail Service Provider (RSP) to deliver reliable connectivity solutions to their end-customers, while also boosting their capability to generate higher margins with business nbn® connectivity. They  also covered all aspects of  nbn® business products including opportunities for MSPs, nuances, potential connectivity issues and how MSPs can mitigate them in order to provide a seamless connectivity experience to their customers.

As part of their enablement program Hosted Network have equipped their partners with  essential resources including a pre-built go-to-market kit, the  nbn® Pipeline Booster Kit, to help them identify nbn® opportunities and educate their end-customers on different connectivity types, the advantages of business-grade connections and the business implications of residential services.

To simplify selling connectivity further, Hosted Network is offering a limited time promotion offering  a free router, valued at approximately $1,400  for partners who will purchase nbn® Enterprise Ethernet service with management. Leveraging this promotion will not only set MSPs apart from the competition, but help them deliver better connectivity and security outcomes for their end-customers.

As more premises are connected to the nbn® fibre network and continued investment in business nbn® fibre zones, MSPs have a huge opportunity to deliver reliable connectivity and generate sales with higher margins.

Hosted Network and nbn®‘s enablement program will play a crucial role in helping MSPs seize this opportunity with the commitment to provide them with the necessary resources and assistance to help them capitalise on nbn® opportunities.
